Hi there, castle enthusiasts! You know that I'm a fan of real castles. Now I'll let you in on a little secret - I'm also a LEGO addict and I build castles out of LEGO bricks! And Ideas.Lego has just approved my design of a Teutonic castle that I was busy building for over 4 months at night, when I could concentrate and when all of my family members were asleep.
What is it? Well, it’s a redbrick Gothic castle inspired by one of my trips in the Baltic region. Actually, that’s right around the time I fell in love with redbrick Gothic. In particular, this LEGO design was influenced by the iconic castles of Malbork, Kwidzyn, and Gniew in Poland.
My Teutonic Ordensburg has four different facades with Gothic arches and windows. One of the facades bears the traditional Teutonic geometric pattern made by the black brickwork. You can find such a pattern in most of the Order’s castles across the Baltics. They're’ four corner towers as well but there’s something else which you can’t see at first glance.
The model is designed to be opened. So you can move parts to the side to see the cobbled courtyard and a gallery supported by pillars with stone gargouilles. I tried to convey the general idea of the Ordensburgs' courtyard, outlining the main aspects without going too much into detail. I did not want to make my design too heavy and too detailed. I put the main emphasis on the exterior of the castle
Now I need your support badly, my fellow castle lovers! I have until April next year to gain 1,000 votes to enter the next stage where I have to ensure the support of 5,000 people. To reach this goal I will have 182 days. There’ll be more stages on my path to 10,000 votes, which will automatically send my Teutonic castle for a LEGO Board review. The board will decide on whether it is worth to be mass-produced and shipped to toy stores all across the globe! And this is my ultimate goal.
If you like the my redbrick Gothic castle the way I do, please vote for it on Ideas.Lego and help me make my dream come true!

Thank you very much!
