Chateau du Rivau, Practical Info

Chateau du Rivau is a castle in France's Indre-et-Loire region. Back in the 16th century it bred stallions for the French king and was famous for the architectural style of the stables. Now the castle is both a private residence and a hotel. It boasts fantastic gardens, exhibitions of contemporary art and locally-produced wine.

More about the chateau's royal stables, Joanne dArc, the much-lauded gardens can be found in this interview with the daughter of the castle owners.
