Castello di Vicarello, Practical Info

Castello di Vicarello is a medieval castle hotel in Tuscany. Built in the 12th century it was razed to the ground several times - back in the 1970s it was a complete ruin. It took the owners 12 years to restore the castle. Now the castello is a luxurious hotel making its own wine, olive oil and boasting extremely high hospitality standards.

How was it possible? Read an in-depth interview with one of the castle owners and managers Neri Baccheschi-Berti.
