Castillo de Almodovar del Rio, Practical Info

Castillo de Almodovar del Rio was built in the 8th century and is nowadays a great mix of the Moorish and Christian architectural traditions. The castle raised from ruin in the early 20th century and got even more worldwide recognition after it featured in HBO's Game of Thrones saga.

How to get there?

It will take you some 1 hour 30minutes to get to the castle from Seville.
Getting to Almodovar from Cordoba will take you 30 minutes while a trip from Malaga normally takes slightly less than 2 hours 30 minutes. 

Where to stay?

The castle does not offer accommodation for now but you can choose a hotel to stay while on a trip to Almodovar.

Where to eat?

Do not forget to check local restaurants to have a dinner after a day at the castle.
